A TEAM EFFORT
Kelly Oneil, Physical Therapist and owner of Bodies In Balance Physical Therapy in Beverly Hills is joined in partnership with her mother, Judy Oneil, business manager.
Kelly Oneil, MSPT
Kelly graduated from the University of North Texas in 1995 with her undergraduate degree in Music Performance. Through the years, her continued participation and love of sports directed her to return to school and attain a Masters of Science Degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Miami 2001.
Kelly's expertise earned her a spot as part of the sports medicine crew for the National Men's and Women's Beach Volleyball team. Having recently returned from the FIVB World Championships in Gstaad Switzerland, Kelly's knowledge helped the competing 2008 Olympic hopefuls perform to the best of their abilities.
Here in Beverly Hills, Kelly is active in the community, coaching locally for the American Youth Soccer Organization and related all-star teams. Additionally she lectures parents becoming AYSO certified coaches on proper soccer training techniques to prevent injury and what to expect when an injury occurs.
Kelly's philosophy of physical therapy treatment begins with listening to the patient and understanding their long-term goals. To ensure a thorough assessment, Kelly combines her background in biomechanics, evidence-based medicine and clinical expertise to identify the patient's dysfunction. Then, utilizing manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercise and physical therapy modalities, an individualized plan of care is implemented to improve the patient's injury and functional deficit.
Judy Oneil, Business Manager
Judy brings to the clinic her business background. She has a Business Degree and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in the Social Sciences. Her career began by teaching business courses at the post-secondary level. Judy then applied her knowledge and skills to the private sector, mostly in the field of real estate sales, marketing and management.
Judy and Kelly with their caring attitude look forward to providing patients with the best choice in their selection of an outpatient physical therapy clinic.
Massage Therapists
CJ
CJ studied Eastern and Western techniques in order to address muscular dysfunction found in tissue, fascia and skin. Her massage skills include Swedish, deep tissue, sports massage, trigger points, circulatory and acupressure. Using appropriate manual techniques, pain caused by irritated tissue is decreased by releasing entrapped blood vessels and nerves. Her overall purpose of massage is to produce a positive therapeutic outcome on muscular, nervous, lymphatic and respiratory systems.
Brett Stumpp
Brett Stumpp began training in massage and the mind-body-spirit connection at the Institute of Psycho-Structural Balancing. He continued his studies in eastern forms of massage and traditional Chinese medicine, concentrating on Shiatsu-anma by enrolling in the Shiatsu Massage School of California. Currently he is apprenticing with third generation Scottish Osteopath Hugh Milne in Visionary Cranial Sacral therapy.
Pilates
Erin Penney-Schulz, C.F.P.
Erin began studying Pilates in 1997 while going through her own rehabilitation for a knee injury. After rehabilitation, she decided to do a formal certification through Stott Pilates in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Erin enjoys teaching a variety of clients/patients with diverse needs and goals. Her goal for all is an understanding of core control and body alignment, resulting in better tone and conditioning. Her programs are individualized according to the area of injury, acute or chronic. If you are without injury she is happy to provide a more intense workout requiring a higher level of athleticism.
Jami Brenman
Jami is a Los Angeles native who graduated from UCLA with a degree in Liberal Arts. Jami has been an instructor for several years, first training clients in New York City before returning home to Los Angeles. Jami's first interest in Pilates was due to a minor injury that required her to temporarily receive physical therapy. Seeing the benefits of Pilates as an additional powerful tool for her rehabilitation, she decided to become educated in the Pilates method, continuing to teach it as a healing method of physical training and rehabilitation.
